POSY

I just had to share about an awesome new florist that has opened super close to us here in Lynn Valley. POSY has been opened by the amazing Kristin in the New Lynn Valley Town Centre and the flowers are amazing. The shop is just beautiful too and is not only decorated with some of my favourite white/black patterned things, but beautiful gifts, soaps, creams, etc AND OF COURSE AMAZING FLOWERS. They had a sweet open house on Saturday and so I snapped a few shots. If you are still looking for a great florist for your wedding, or just for everyday and special occasion flowers I highly recommend checking them out.

The Hoffer Family

Today turned out to be a gorgeous day with warm temperatures and blue skies. I got to spend part of it hanging out with the Hoffer family and boy, they sure are a lot of fun. The girls have boundless energy and are not only always on the go but are always ready for arts and crafts, stories and puzzles - my kind of kids. We even had fun jumping on the bed and I have to say that this was the first photoshoot I've ever done that included climbing a wall - so cool! They also have one awesome backyard that made for some great shots with beautiful light and colour. Here are just a few of my favourites as well as the slideshow - ENJOY!!! Thanks Jackie, Colin, Brook and Erica for such a great morning and sharing your home with me!!!

This first shot - is now one of my absolute favourites!

Neda and Sean are getting married!

This afternoon was another great enagement session in the sun with bright blue skies. Neda and Sean braved the cold air and wind and we headed down to Ambleside in West Vancouver to do their shoot. These two are super cute and fun together. Neda wore some of the best shoes I've seen and I've already gotten to see her wedding shoes which I'm super excited about. Any session with killer shoes and sunshine is good in my books, and throw in these two and it's fabulous. Enjoy some of my favourites guys and scroll down to the bottom to see your slideshow.

Heike and Rich are getting married!

This afternoon was so much fun shooting engagement photos with Heike and Rich. I am more than looking forward to their wedding next month at Cecile Green and if turns out to be even half as much fun as we had today, it's going to Rock! In fact, I KNOW IT'S GOING TO BE AWESOME! Not only are the two of them gorgeous people, they are super sweet together, they have the sweetest black lab and they are lucky lucky people when it comes to the weather. I was really worried it was going to be cold since it snowed this morning, or that we were going to get rained on. But no! It was really sunny and warm with amazing blue skies and puffy white clouds. Of course as soon as I drove away after the session it suddenly started to snow so I think these two carry extra good weather luck with them. Thanks Heike, Rich and Morgan for such a great afternoon. Enjoy a few of my favourite photos and scroll down to the bottom to see the slideshow.

This Morning...

I woke up to a sight that is UNBELIEVABLE for mid April - SNOW!!! Yup, this has been one crazy year for snow. Vancouver is not a snow city, rain yes, lots of rain, but not snow - so it's just so crazy to see even more of it. Although, even though it was snowing pretty much everywhere last night, it didn't stick everywhere. We're higher up in the North Shore Mountains in Lynn Valley and when I drove Scott to work this morning only 5 minutes down the road the snow totally disappeared. It's crazy though, last Saturday we were at the beach and this Saturday it snows - NUTS!!! I mean it looks really pretty, but I still think its wrong. It is a pretty cool sight to see the snow mixed with all the pretty colours from all the spring flowers though. I'm sure the flowers don't appreciate it. I was up early this morning and went out and took some pics in the morning light. Enjoy the craziness.

A day at the beach with the Twins

Yesterday almost felt like summer... yeah!!! The sun was shining and it was warm enough to not need a jacked. We wanted to take advantage of the day and so headed over to Vancouver to hang out with Jack and Amelia and take them to the beach. We had such a blast digging holes, making sand soup, looking for shells, watering the grasses with sand and exploring the mud flats that it was super hard to leave. Although yummy Thai food with Kevin and Bev sure made it all worth it. Here's just a small snippet of our afternoon at the beach. CLICK HERE for the slideshow or on the photo below.

Anna loves Salsa and Graham hates it!

At family dinner the other week we discovered how much Scott's neice Anna loves salsa, the-eat-it-straight-out-of-the-bowl type of loving salsa. It's funny because her big brother hates the stuff (along with his hate of bears and spiders). Anyway, I was so very entertained by all of Anna's expressions and total concentration on eating her "chocwate tookie" that I made a slideshow. Click here to see it. I was also so impressed with how grown up Graham is looking these days. He's going to be 5 soon and that means kindergarten next year - man where does the time go. He was so cute walking around with his hands in his pockets and the collar of his polo shirt not quite tucked right. I included a few great shots of him hamming it up for the camera - scroll down to see those. Ahhhh, kids, gotta love them.

Holly and Daniel are engaged!!!

Today was an AMAZING way to kick off the season. I am soooooo in love with Holly and Daniel, I really am blessed with amazing clients. I've been lucky enough to know Daniel since he was a wee bit younger, back in the days of summer camp and feel so privileged to be able to be a part of his and Holly's special day. We decided to head to Lynn Canyon for their engagement session since they probably couldn't be a more outdoorsy couple. The light was so stunning everywhere, Holly was soooooo stunning, Daniel himself is pretty easy on the eyes, and these two are so full of love it really is nothing short of stunning (and pretty darn cute). I just picked a FEW of my favs for this post until I get their slideshow ready. Enjoy the preview!
