CONGRATULATIONS Heike & Rich

Friday was one unbelievable day! The sun was shining, the sky was bright bright blue and it was beautifully warm. It was more than absolutely gorgeous weather and was so perfect for the day Heike and Rich had planned. Heike and Rich had lots of family and friends fly in from around the world to share in their special day and it was so great to show off Vancouver with great sunny skies, Cecile Green was the perfect backdrop. Heike was absolutely stunning and radiant and looked breathtaking in her gown! These two are so special and it was so wonderful to see the love between them. Heike and Rich, I had a wonderful time with you both and am so honoured to have been a part of your day. Enjoy your sneek peak slideshow!

Graham is 5 years old!

Well, I can't believe it. My nephew Graham turned 5 this past Saturday. It seems like just yesterday we we're all waiting up for him to be born and were woken up in the middle of the night to go to the hospital and meet him. Now he's all grown up and ready for kindergarten! Wow, time flies! There was a great party for him and CLICK HERE TO SEE THE SLIDESHOW of the festivities and kiddies.

These Gems are some of my absolute kid favs! I think this was when Graham was just over a year old, taken at summer camp. AWWWWWWW, what a model!!!

Oh, and for all you photogs out there, these black&whites were taken on good ol'fashion film. Of course it was C41 film which was the coolest thing to me while working in a photo lab. Ahhh, the days of film... now it's the days of digital and instant satisfaction - loving it!

LAURA & SHELDON Engagement Session Preview

WOW!!! This morning I had an A-M-A-Z-I-N-G engagement session with Laura & Sheldon who are getting married this July. The two of them actually said they were nervous but you would NEVER know it - they look amazing and were definately working it in front of the camera. I couldn't stop taking pictures of Lauren - she is just stunning and I know she's going to look unbelievable on her wedding day. I just have to share a few of my favourites that I flagged while I was downloading the photos. This is definately one of my favourite sessions. Enjoy!

Portraits and Headshots

Lately I have had renewed interest in personal portraits and headshots from clients and since I have yet to add this wonderful section to my website I thought I'd re-post a couple of my favourite sessions as reminders. It's a great time to show off your personality and I always feel like I really get to connect with my clients during these types of sessions. I just want to share and encourage those who may be graduating, wanting to update their headshots or just capture themselves and their personalities to give me a call and I'm sure we can come up with a wonderful session for you. Also, this is proof that I do headshots and portraits, just not as often as weddings and families ;) - but I love you all so please, give me a call.

POSY

I just had to share about an awesome new florist that has opened super close to us here in Lynn Valley. POSY has been opened by the amazing Kristin in the New Lynn Valley Town Centre and the flowers are amazing. The shop is just beautiful too and is not only decorated with some of my favourite white/black patterned things, but beautiful gifts, soaps, creams, etc AND OF COURSE AMAZING FLOWERS. They had a sweet open house on Saturday and so I snapped a few shots. If you are still looking for a great florist for your wedding, or just for everyday and special occasion flowers I highly recommend checking them out.
