A Victoria Adventure and some crazy seagulls

So one of the things my husband and I did when we were in Victoria was go on a little stroll on the Breakwater at Ogden Point. This is where the crusie ships come in in the summer and the breakwater is there to help shield the ships from rough water. It's about a 1 km stretch of concrete out into the Ocean and you can walk along it to a lighthouse. There's even a cute little cafe back on land to warm yourself up at. When we were there on Sunday it did happen to be a beautifully sunny day but boy, the WIND WAS SO COLD. We tried to grin and bear it all the way out to the lighthouse and then actually had to walk back into the wind on the way back. It was worth it though and is a really nice walk.

There are no barriers on the side so it's kind of intimidating to walk along the sides.
If you're afraid of heights you should walk in the middle.

We saw this crazy seagull that had was trying to eat a fish. We don't think he was able to swallow it properly. He was just standing there like this for quite a while.

Then we came across this seagull trying to eat this pretty starfish. Nature's cycle.

Towards The U.S. of A. See - lots of people - no side rails - ACK!

Scott shielding himself from the wind behind the lighthouse (Note, there are a lot of people doing this, maybe theyneed a bigger lighthouse)

It's COLD!!!

The steps on the side of the breakwater are really cool.
