Variety Club Boat for Hope

On Saturday I spent a wet yet wonderful day taking pictures of all the amazing kids of the Variety Club. Variety puts on a great event called "boat for hope" where all the kids dress up in pirate gear and go out and sail the seas of False creek in search of treasure. They encounter pirates, pirates, more pirates and of course treasure. Once on dry land there's a carnival full of activities like the petting zoo and face painting and of course great food. It was a wonderful day and the kids had a great time. Here's just a few to share.

Public Health Event

Last Friday I shot an event for the Commission on Social Determinants of Health for Brian Dennehy photography. The event was gorgeous and was beautifully arranged by Missy at Prime Strategies. There was even a surprise performance for all the delegates by Susan Aglukark. She is a famous Inuk singer for Canada and her songs are so beautiful - It was quite the treat. Anna's 1st Birthday

Today was our niece Anna's Birthday Party to celebrate her first birthday. It was quite the party with beautiful sunshine, and boy was it a hot one!!! Anyway, just wanted to share a few cute photos from the day of some of the kids. Slideshow to come. HAPPY BIRTHDAY ANNA!!!

My little Sister Graduated!!!

Yesterday my little sister graduated from highschool and she looked sooooooooooooooooooo beautiful. I made her sit down for some formal portraits since she had an awesome dress, outstanding makeup and one of my favourite hairstyles - complete with orchids. I could have taken pictures of her all afternoon. Anyway, we're so proud of her and here are just a few shots from yesterday - I have to show her off - SHE'S GORGEOUS!

Graham's 4th Birthday Party

Okay, so our nephew Graham actually turned 4 quite a while ago (May 10th) and I've just been a little slow in getting these photos done. Nonetheless, the party was a total blast and I think Graham had an awesome time getting all sugared up, opening a bizillion presents and playing with his pals.

There are not enough words to describe Aurora and Shane as people or enough words to describe their wedding. I have been looking forward to their wedding soooo much since the first time we met and I KNEW it was going to be special. They are such genuine and amazing people and the relationship between them is so peaceful and beautiful. I have way too many favourites from this wedding that I can't post them all here, nor fit them all onto their slideshow - but I have tried.
